El aditivo aumenta la viscosidad del aceite y evita que se cuele por los anillos/segmentos/aros; en realidad deberia notar el coche mas potente no mas lento con el aditivo, ya que al sellarse las holguras mejoraria el rendimiento.

Pero al aumentar la viscosidad no hace que las partes mecánicas tengan mas fricción?

Si mas friccion tienen, pero como te he dicho menos holguras tambien. Es un aditivo no algo magico si tienes falta de compresion la seguiras teniendo pero menos.

Vaya tela, en esa lista hay "pociones" que yo no echaria ni al cortacesped..

En cuanto al problema de raikosiris , como ya te dice bien Ferny , estos aditivos no hacen milagros. Si tienes mucha holgura entre cilindro y piston estos aditivos no van a "regenerar" el material metalico que se ha perdido por desgaste. Lo que te estará pasando, ya que este producto aumenta la viscosidad y no es aconsejable en climas con arrranque muy frio, es que por la holgura del motor se te estará colando aceite hasta la camara de combustión, lo que empeora la misma y evidentemente afecta al rendimiento del motor. Espera unos dias mas y saca las bujias, si ves una costra mas bien negra y un poco aceitosa..mal asunto, o aguantas lo que puedas echandole un 20w50 mineral (no hace falta aditivo, ya es bastante viscoso) o a desmontar se ha dicho..

Franky, muy buena explicación. Kristomis, excelente aporte, el que no quiera o no pueda usar el recomendado por el foro tiene para elegir, y en todos los paises.

En esa lista tan larga echo a faltar , asi por encima: el Selenia, El 10w60 de Agip,el resto de la gama de Castrol,(que solo apunta el 10w60, mu weno pero caro). Tampoco se ve nada de Mobil, que ya sabemos que esta algo sobrevalorado (sobre todo la gama semisintetica 10w40) pero tiene un 5w50 muy bueno en relacion calidad precio..Y algo tambien que clama al cielo es la ausencia de TExaco, recuerdo a finales de los 80 que solo algunos talleres te lo servian a granel y a precio de oro liquido..Cuando estuve en Canarias hay Texaco por todas partes y comprobé tamben que tiene su gama media-baja barata.

Encontré esa lista buscando el Wintershall - Das motoren öl ,el patrocinador de la epoca...
Segun parece,aún existe.. En vez de Wintershall Viva 1 se llama SRS Viva 1. El 10W40 es semisintetico.Lo que no sé es si hay distribuidor en España..

Pues para llamarse como el Invierno y pensando en el crudo frio teuton no tiene un grado en frio muy bajo..solo 10W. En su dia (a lo mejor cuando salieron los e.30) seria un prodigio, pero hoy la gama 10w40 es en donde se concentran los aceites mas mediocres..
